Power of a Prayer Offered in Faith

"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1

In Dharamshala we spent the first 4 hours in the time of prayer and intercession every morning. We prayed for local Tibetans, Indians, Buddhist monks, Dalai Lama, local laborers for the gospel as well as all the people we encounter and befriend throughout the day. In the afternoons we volunteered at English conversation classes for Tibetans and monks where many of us had opportunity to share our testimonies. We also have been meeting these students outside of the class to share more in depth of the story of the Son of Man. Most of them are intrigued and drawn to the message of Grace, as it is beyond their comprehension in the culture of merit.

We also took every opportunity to talk to shop owners, waiters and waitress at the restaurants and foreigners we meet at these places. This is truly a ripe place for a harvest. It is dwelling place for Tibetan Buddhist, Tibetan refugees, Kashmir, Indians, and foreign travelers who are looking for enlightenment. Many of them are hungry and searching. It’s like going fishing on small pond that is full of fish. You will always catch something.

But our true impact is coming from a place of prayer. His Spirit is wind, fire and earthquake as well as a still small voice. Every morning we had been laboring in a place of prayer, worship and intercession to bring wind, fire and earthquake to the spiritual atmosphere. Then we go out in the afternoons and are the stewards of His Still Small Voice.

Much of our time in Dharamshala was an act of faith. Without faith when praying it was impossible to shift history. Since we believed by faith and expected what we were interceeding for, I know that the Lord is responding. It is HIS actual heart's cry that we are just repeating back to Him, agreeing with His will. Our team did not see many prayers answered while we were there but we did prepare the way and toil the ground further to make the way for the Lord. We are confident that establishing a house of prayer here is the burning desire of God's heart. It was a huge blessing to be a part of the pioneering stage of the house of prayer.
